Brunswick County is nestled between Wilmington, North Carolina and  Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Its’ eastern boundary consists of the Brunswick County Beaches including, Sunset Beach, Holden Beach, Bald Head Island, Ocean Isle Beach and the largest Oak Island/Caswell Beach.  The county is more than one thousand square miles in size. Twenty percent of that area is water including the Cape Fear, Brunswick and Lockwood Folly Rivers, the Intracoastal Waterway, and numerous smaller tributaries, marshes, lakes and streams.  We average fifty six inches of rain a year, and enjoy the moderating effects of the ocean.

The lifestyle here is relaxed, with an emphasis placed on outdoor recreational activities such as beach going, golfing, fishing and boating.  The  Lower Cape Fear Region pushes  out into the Atlantic Ocean resulting in temperate winters, milder summers and favorable weather  for nearly year-round outdoor activities. 

Our tax rates are  modest and we  have many real estate choices from small beach homes, just  a short walk from the ocean, to gated communities with restaurants, golfing, club houses, tennis courts and marinas. We have historic homes in Southport, and communities along  the Cape Fear River or  Intracoastal Waterway.  We have condos and town homes and miles and miles of oceanfront properties used as second homes or for vacation rentals or retirement.
